MIT School of Fine Arts & Applied Arts, aims at providing the highest standard of art & design education so that students gain a strong foundation in the artistic tradition via both established & new media, thus enriching their capacity for communication & expression as a whole. Objectives of the Program:
- To promote self-awareness through reflection and art-making.
- To learn the fundamentals of art therapy theory and practice.
- To develop art therapy as a professional therapeutic practice.
- To prepare students for a career that uses the therapeutic application of art in a variety of settings and with a wide range of populations.
- To inculcate, integrate, and strengthen the cultural rootedness and appropriateness of art therapy knowledge and practice with a global outlook.
Semester Pattern and Credit System:
- The Master of Fine Art in Art Therapy course is a full-time program that runs for two academic years, consisting of four semesters.
- One Academic Year – Two Semesters
- The first two semesters will be held offline at MIT-ADT University in MIT School of Fine Arts & Applied Arts College Pune.
- The 3rd and 4th semesters in the 2nd year, which includes the Internship, can be done from anywhere in India, including the student’s city of residence.
